Product Description The PURE WATER IN EVERY DROP! brand offers Melt-blown Four Layers Filtration Polypropylene Sediment Filter (6 pack). This sediment water filter removes physical debris and impurities from your water. The filter has tiny holes through which water can pass, while unwanted particles are trapped. As these particles come in different sizes, the filters come in varying micron ratings, with smaller micron measurements indicating smaller holes that can capture finer particles.

Generally, for water that is more visibly polluted with larger particles, a sediment filter with a larger size (such as 20 or 50 microns) is recommended in the first stage of installation to prevent clogging of subsequent filters. This sediment filter is often the first filter installed in a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, acting as a net to catch unwanted particles like sand, dirt, silt, rust, and other fine particles.

Made of fine melted polypropylene that is blown and spun into a cylinder-like form, this sediment filter is resistant to chemical solvents, bases, and acids. Removal of these particles allows other filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filters, to perform better and last longer.
