These 53mm (53-400) size screw-on caps with foam liner are compatible with American Maid plastic water bottles and water jugs that have a 53-400 threaded neck finish. Included in the package are 2 caps.

However, these caps are not compatible with water jug brands such as Bluewave, New Wave Enviro, PureAqua Jugs, and Ore International, as they require a 48mm sized cap instead. Additionally, these caps are not suitable for use on water dispenser bottles that require snap-on caps, nor on glass jugs.

The caps feature a 3-ply compressible foam liner and are BPA-free, made in the USA. It is important to note that these caps are not designed to be leakproof.

The cap dimensions are as follows: Inner Diameter: 53mm (about 2-1/8"); Outer Diameter: 55mm (about 2-3/16").

It can be challenging to determine the cap size required for a particular water jug, as some manufacturers have changed their bottle designs over the years. Additionally, the jug's gallon size does not indicate the cap size needed.

To accurately find the right cap size for your water bottle, the most reliable method is to simply measure the outer diameter (OD) of your old caps. The 53mm size caps have an OD of about 2-3/16". Alternatively, you can check the water jug's label, as it may specify the required cap size.
